Watch This…Even The Camera Guy Gets The Cr@p Scared Out Of Him
Just when you thought the cameraman had the safe & boring job behind the scenes…this big female reticulated python decides to get him in on the action. Would you be brave enough to be on either side of the camera ? Me, I’d get the heck out of there…I’m not afraid of snakes, but why tempt fate?
The reticulated python is possibly the biggest giant reptile in the world. The mighty reticulated python is native to Southeast Asia, and is the longest snake found in the wild and an impressive sight to behold.
Their true name is Python Reticulatus which is from latin origin and means ‘net-like’ which refers to the skin markings and patterning of the python. They are generally considered to be part of the larger genus Python family of creatures, but recent studies have shown they may be more closely related to the Broghammerus family.
While it’s not the longest snake to have ever lived, (Titanoboa currently takes that trophy). It’s not the heaviest – the anacondas take that prize. The reticulated python holds the record for the world’s longest snake. Biologists tend to agree that this snake could reach lengths of around 30 feet. However, no snake has been officially measured that long.
Most people who breed reticulated pythons will argue against the ‘man eating’ reputation of these snakes. That’s only fair. The more of a reptuation they have as a man-eater, the greater the chances that local governments will want to restrict access to these reptiles.
Snake breeders will likely explain that you have to have great respect for them, but that given the right care, they’re great snakes to have.
News media will portray their darker side – possibly in an attempt to gain more viewership.
