Watch As A Hunter Takes Down A Doe With A .44 Magnum Pistol
The whole point to going deer hunting is, to put meat on the table and have a good time. So when you do go on your hunt, you want to make sure to bring along the right equipment. And the most important piece of equipment…is the right firearm for the job.
Now, I’m not so adventurous as to use a handgun to hunt a deer, but that’s just me. The guy in the video, he felt confident enough to bring along his trusty .44 magnum pistol. It looks to me, that he had a Smith & Wesson model 629 (I could be wrong), with a scope mounted on it.
Like I said, the whole point to going hunting, is to have a great time and bring back meat for the freezer, not to see who can make the longest kill shot. That’s why I prefer to use a rifle when I hunt and the only reason I’d carry a sidearm, is in the event I run into a bear.
But, with that being said, I will give kudos to the young man in the video, it would have been a tough shot at 50 yards. But at 110 yards with a pistol (even a .44 mag), that was some good shooting. You’ll notice, that the animal didn’t get too far before it went down, so from the looks of things, it was a good, clean kill-shot.
