[VIDEO] These Are The 10 Most Dangerous Snipers In The World
While searching the internet for material to write an article about, I came across this video and needless to say, once I started watching, I was hooked. A sniper is a marksman who operates alone, in a pair, or with a sniper team, to maintain close visual contact with the enemy and shoot them from concealed positions or distances exceeding their detection capabilities.
They generally have specialized training and use high-precision rifles and optics, and often feed information back to their units or military bases. In addition to marksmanship and long range shooting, military snipers are trained in a variety of techniques: detection, stalking, and target range estimation methods, camouflage, field craft, infiltration, special reconnaissance and observation, surveillance and target acquisition.
Snipers almost never referred to the men they killed as targets, or used animal or machine metaphors. Some interviewees even said that their victims were legitimate warriors. Some research has also found that snipers tend to score lower on tests for post-traumatic stress and higher on tests for job satisfaction than the average soldier.
Say what you will about snipers, but it takes a special kind of person, with patience and skill to do this job. I suppose I could make a list and place it beneath the video, but in this particular case, I won’t and I’ll let the video speak for itself.
