Here Are 5 Ideal Survival Guns And All Are Under $300.00
First let me state, that there is no true comprehensive list out there for survival guns, everyone has their own opinion as to what guns would be placed on a “survival list”. The five guns showcased in the video below are more of a suggestion, than an absolute. But what ever your personal preferences, a couple of factors to think about are; weight & availability of ammunition. All of the firearms mentioned are fully capable of bringing down small, to medium sized game and that is a definite asset.
You will notice, that in the video the two types of firearms mentioned are .22 caliber and 12 gauge shotguns. I can see that this would make sense because of the readily available supply of ammunition, but again, this list isn’t written in stone and it’s merely more of a suggestion than anything else.
Beneath the video I will place all of the firearms that are mentioned in the video, followed by a brief description of each one.
#1. Mossberg Maverick 88 : The Mossberg Maverick 88 12 Gauge All-Purpose Pump-Action Shotgun features dual extractors, twin action bars, positive steel-to-steel lockup and an antijam elevator for smooth, reliable performance that won’t let you down. The shotgun features a black synthetic stock and forearm for durability and a 6-round magazine capacity with 2-3/4″ shells and a 5-round capacity with 3″ shells. Bead sights help promote accurate aiming, and only 1 pin needs to be removed to field strip for easy maintenance.
#2. Marlin Model 60: After 54 years and more than 11 million rifles sold, the Model 60 is one of the world’s most popular 22 rimfires – and an American classic in every way. Sleek lines cover the handsome, walnut-laminated stock, while the 19” Micro-Groove rifled barrel has a precision-crowned muzzle to split hairs like no other. Enhancing its appeal, the tubular magazine holds up to 14 long-rifle rounds, while the cross-bolt safety and the manual bolt include our automatic “last shot” bolt hold-open.
#3. Khan Model 12 Survival Shotgun: The Khan Survival shotgun is manufactured with the latest computerized machinery to industry standards using the finest material and craftmanship. The end result is a reliable, lightweight shotgun that looks great and will provide the owner with many years of reliable service.
#4. Ruger Standard: The Ruger Standard model is a firearm introduced in 1949 as the first product manufactured by Sturm, Ruger & Co., and was the founding member of a product line of .22 Long Rifle rimfire cartridge pistols. It was marketed as an inexpensive .22 caliber rimfire intended for casual sport and target shooting, and plinking. Designed by William B. Ruger, the Standard model and its offspring went on to become the most accepted and successful .22 semi-automatic pistols ever produced.
#5. Henry U.S. Survival AR-7 : Since 1959 the venerable AR-7 has been the choice of U.S. Air Force pilots who need a small-caliber rifle they can count on should they have to punch out over a remote area. Through the years the AR-7’s reputation for portability, ease of operation and reliability has carried over to the civilian world. Today it’s a favorite of bush pilots, backpackers and backcountry adventurers who, like their Air Force counterparts, need a rifle that’s easy to carry yet has the accuracy to reliably take down small game.
