OMG…Watch As A GIANT ALLIGATOR Takes A Stroll On A Golf Course In Florida
There are big alligators…and there are REALLY BIG alligators and the one in the video below, is definitely the latter. In a YouTube video that has OVER 21 Million views, you see this prehistoric throwback stroll calmly by a sand trap, crossing the fairway at Buffalo Creek Golf Course in Palmetto, Florida. Charles Helms, 56, was on the third hole when he saw the beast and said there was stunned silence between the golfers on the scene. Helms pulled out his phone and began to record. When asked why, Helms said, “A better question might be how can you not record it?”
Since the gator was allowed to continue his little walk unhindered, nobody got an exact measurement, but there is a guy in the foreground that does give you some kind of perspective as to the size of the beast. Alligators used to be the apex predators in Florida, but since animals like pythons were introduced into the area, the alligators have more competition for the same food source which isn’t very good for them. More dangerous than even Burmese pythons—which are known to eat alligators —the African pythons are “so mean, they come out of the egg striking,” said Kenneth Krysko, senior herpetologist at the Florida Museum of Natural History in Gainesville.
Whatever the case, if you see a very large alligator in a place it normally shouldn’t be…it’s best to give it a wide berth.
