MK-19 Automatic Grenade Launcher Takes-Out Taliban

Watching the video where an MK-19 grenade launcher takes-out Taliban scum, just makes one feel all warm inside (at least I feel that way).  Seriously…absolutely nothing brightens-up my day more, than seeing a bunch of terrorists getting their butts handed to them in a firefight. These cowards don’t fight fair, so I feel ABSOLUTELY NO PITY when they get wiped-out by American forces. I’ve seen too many young men at my local VAMC sitting in wheelchairs, with arms, or legs that were blown-off by terrorist IED booby traps. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, just visit your local Veterans Hospital and see for yourself. Those poor kids sit in their wheel chairs and all have the same “1000 yard stare”. So when I see a film where these animals get slaughtered by the American military…I want to dance and shout…HELL YEAH !!!

The Mk 19 grenade launcher (also known as the Mark 19) is an American 40 mm belt-fed automatic grenade launcher that was first developed during the Vietnam War. The first model (Mod 0) in 1966 was determined to be unreliable and unsafe, but a total of six Mod 1 launchers were successfully tested on U.S. Navy riverine patrol craft in the Mekong Delta in 1972. The Navy made further improvements to the weapon, resulting in the Mod 3 in 1976. The Mod 3 was adopted by the U.S Army in 1983 and remains in service to the present day.

So, go grab a beer from the fridge , sit back and enjoy the show:

This is what was written beneath the video on YouTube:

 “4th Platoon D Co 2-5 IN 3/1 AD-
Camera is on my gunner, firefight was around four hours long involving three enemy SAF sections, one RPG team (who we killed a month later), and an 82mm mortar team. The camera died about halfway through before it started getting really dicey, the Taliban only stopped engaging after we called in four A-10 gun runs on their positions in the green zones.”
