Preparedness Radio – Prepared Housewives, A Talk with Jamie Smith
Jamie lives her life in South Texas where she is a wife and a Mom to 4 children: 3 boys and a girl. During the day she works in a dental office, cleaning teeth as a Dental Hygienist, in the evening being a Mom––her favorite and hardest job––and later at night hanging out at Prepared-Housewives.com. She considers her blog a brief escape from the reality of a busy homemaker.
Her goal is to help simplify food storage, emergency prep, and survival skills so anyone can do it.
When she’s not busy trying to save the world you can find her stuffing her face with Cheetos®, learning how to bow hunt, or attempting to take a nap!
If you struggle with getting prepared, knowing where to start, or deciding what to do next, you might just love Jamie’s blog. It will help you simplify becoming prepared!
Jamie discusses with Doctor Prepper how she got started with Preparedness and how she maintains her provisions and:
- When she started her website––and why. (When you see the photo of her children, you know why!)
- Her recommendations for helping people who don’t know where to begin.
- Her suggestions for how to get a personal or family preparedness plan started:
Jamie talks about her most and least favorite parts about preparedness and what her goals are for this year.
Her mandate for her readers: “I believe everyone can be prepared for whatever life has in store! I’m on a journey to help people along the way. Let’s get started…”
