Epic Gun & Hunting Fails….Please Don’t Be This Stupid [Video]

Every now and then, I just have to publish an article that shows that firearms aren’t necessarily for everyone. We here at Survival Nation cannot stress enough that everyone who picks-up a firearm, must and should receive the proper training beforehand. Not knowing proper firearm safety can have deadly results, not only for yourself, but for those around you as well. That’s why I use videos (like the one below), even though they may seem quite comical…it’s only through sheer dumb luck, or divine providence, that no one was killed.

What ever the case, if you have never owned, or fired a gun before, it’s always a safe be to get professional instruction before you do so. Even though the 2nd Amendment says you have the right to bear arms, not everyone should. Watch the video, some of the content is pure accidental and could happen to anyone, but some of these “fails” are brought about by sheer stupidity. You decide which.

I think that videos like the one below, should be shown to every single person who has never fired a weapon before, it’s the perfect training tool as of what NOT to do when handling firearms.

Here are some basic rules for firearms safety:

1. Always Keep The Muzzle Pointed In A Safe Direction.
2. Firearms Should Be Unloaded When Not Actually In Use.
3. Don’t Rely On Your Gun’s “Safety”.
4. Be Sure Of Your Target And What’s Beyond It.
5. Use Correct Ammunition.
6. If Your Gun Fails To Fire When The Trigger Is Pulled, Handle With Care!
7. Always Wear Eye And Ear Protection When Shooting.
8. Be Sure The Barrel Is Clear Of Obstructions Before Shooting.
9. Don’t Alter Or Modify Your Gun, And Have Guns Serviced Regularly.
10. Learn The Mechanical And Handling Characteristics Of The Firearm You Are Using.
