The Medusa M-47 Multi-Caliber Revolver

So here we have the Medusa M-47 multi-caliber revolver, I found this very interesting for a number of reasons. Every semi-auto pistol, or revolver, usually fires ONE type of ammunition and we’re all familiar with that, but these folks developed a revolver that will fire an assortment of  different caliber ammunition. And something like this could come-in VERY handy in a pinch.

Not being limited to firing only ONE particular caliber round, but 25 multiple calibers in the same cylinders. After watching the video, one could not help but be impressed with it’s multi-caliber capability. That is one way to save a few dollars, because you are not limited to using only one kind of ammunition.  I’m placing some pertinent information about this handgun below the video for you to check-out. Since they no longer make them, they are a little spendy and are quite sought after.

Here is some info on this revolver from

The reason why the revolver can use multiple calibers is because of its special cylinder. The Medusa six shot cylinder design originally was designed by Jonathan Phillips. He was also a computer specialist for NASA and a competition shooter and he regularly carried multiple guns of different calibers to the range every time he went to shoot. The Medusa was an attempt to solve this because most of the weapons he carried were in the 9 mm /.38 range. This does not include the .357 sig because the round is a .40 caliber cartridge that necks down to .357.
